Fall Events

Now that summer is winding down and the real world looms large, here are reminders of upcoming meetings, possibole titles and FYI stuff --

September 8 -- 7:30 Meeting The Historian
October 20 -- Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen
December 1 -- Are Men Really Necessary by Maureen Dowd (paperback out 10/3/06)


FYI -- (Back to the Tudors...)
*The Pa Renissance Faire (Elizabethan England) opened Saturday and runs Saturdays and Sundays through Halloween.
*New Philippa Gregory Book "The Bolyn Inheritance" coming out Dec. 5. Just in time for the WHAT MOMMY WANTS FOR XMAS list. Picks up where "The Other Bolyn Girl" leaves off, aka the rest of Henry's wives.
*Alison Wier's 1st historical fiction novel "Innocent Traitor" (about Lady Jane Grey) gets published in the US Feb. 27, 2007.

Well,since I am currently reading Water For Elephants,no problemo!!!! I ordered The Historian and seems to be a hard read so I better get it soon so I can get on it for Sept. 8th.
I know I verbally mentioned the maureen Downd book to ya and sent you the article on Water For...so did you pick? Just wondering,Dayna! Mrs. Honey
